Charity Presentation in Sri Lanka
On 5th April 2009 a presentation about our work and vision was held at the Mount Lavinia Hotel, Mount Lavina, Sri Lanka.
We were honoured to have some very special guests including our Sri Lankan Patron, Venerable Athureliye Rathana Himi, Honourable Member of Parliament, and Chairman for the Unity of Animal Protection in Sri Lanka. Venerable Rathana was one of our guest speakers and spoke about Buddhism and animals.

Senaka Weeraratna
Attorney-at-Law and formal legal Consultant to the Law Commission of Sri Lanka on animal welfare legislation. Senaka is a friend and a strong supporter of our work and vision. Senaka’s speech and presentation focused on legislative developments in Sri Lanka relating to Animal Welfare and Protection.Kanthie Perera
An Associate Member of our charity and President of the World Buddhist Peace Foundation. Kanthie’s speech was on Buddhist values and the welfare of animals in Sri Lanka.
Kim Cooling
President and founder of Animal SOS Sri Lanka. Kim’s speech focused on animal welfare in Sri Lanka, the effects on tourism, and UK and Sri Lankan working partnerships.

Anoma Akmeemana-an Associate Member of the charity, was our wonderful host for the event.

The event was a great success and our presentation and vision was well received by all. This occasion was a very special day for our charity and our working relationships with our Sri Lankan partners and allies.
