Make Your Gift Go Further

 Gift Aid Your Donation

Make your donation worth 25% more

If you're a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid allows Animal SOS Sri Lanka to claim an extra 25p from HMRC for every £1 you donate — at no extra cost to you.

That means a £10 donation becomes £12.50, helping your support go even further for vulnerable dogs and cats in Sri Lanka.

Simply complete the Gift Aid declaration below and we can claim Gift Aid on eligible donations you make now, in the future and during the previous four years.

What is Gift Aid?

Gift Aid is a UK tax scheme that allows charities to increase the value of eligible donations from UK taxpayers. For every £1 you donate, Animal SOS Sri Lanka can claim an additional 25p from HMRC, without costing you anything extra.

Even if you think you are not a UK taxpayer, you may still be eligible if you pay tax through:

  • Taxable investment or rental income

  • Taxable savings or private pension plans

  • Capital Gains Tax

Key Points:

  • You don’t have to give regularly or donate a certain amount for us to claim Gift Aid.

  • We can claim Gift Aid on donations made over the past four years.

  • Claiming Gift Aid is easy. Simply fill out the Gift Aid Declaration form below.

Your Gift Aid helps us do even more

Rosina before treatment and after her recovery at Animal SOS Sri Lanka

Rosina's transformation

Rosina arrived in April 2026 as a sickly, depressed little pup. She was covered in ticks, weakened by babesiosis (a tick-borne disease) and suffering from a maggot-infested wound on her back. She desperately needed treatment, nourishment and care.

Today, Rosina is completely transformed. She's healthy, full of life and a bundle of pure joy and happiness.

By adding Gift Aid to your donations, you can help us make every eligible gift go further, giving more vulnerable animals like Rosina the treatment and care they need to recover and thrive.

How you can help

There are many ways you can help give vulnerable animals in Sri Lanka a safer future:

  • Make a one-off donation and, if you're eligible, increase its value by 25% with Gift Aid.

  • Set up a regular donation to provide ongoing support for the animals in our care.

  • Leave a gift in your will to help us continue caring for vulnerable animals for generations to come.

Thank you for being part of the Animal SOS Sri Lanka family. Your kindness helps save lives and gives vulnerable animals the chance of a brighter future.

Your Gift Aid Declaration

To Gift Aid your donations, we need your full name and home address, including your postcode, as part of your Gift Aid declaration.

By completing this declaration, you confirm that:

  • I am a UK taxpayer and wish to Gift Aid all donations I make now, in the future, or have made in the past four years to Animal SOS Sri Lanka.

  • I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year, I am responsible for paying any difference.

  • I will notify Animal SOS Sri Lanka if I wish to cancel this declaration, change my name or home address, or no longer pay enough Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed.

Additional tax relief for higher-rate taxpayers

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate, you may be able to claim additional tax relief on your Gift Aid donations by:

  • Including your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return.

  • Asking HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) to adjust your tax code.
