Meet Phoenix 🧡

My name is Phoenix and I faced the most unimaginable horror. A village lynch mob beat and stoned me and intended to kill me. They even dug my grave.  I do not know why they wanted to end my life in such a brutal way. I was innocent, terrified and broken, and didn’t know if I could trust anyone ever again.

A brave person intervened just in the nick of time and Animal SOS Sri Lanka's sanctuary agreed to help me. When I arrived at the sanctuary, I was so scared of humans that I snarled and tried to bite anyone who came close. But the people here didn’t give up on me. Slowly, they showed me what kindness and love felt like. I’ve learnt to trust again, one gentle moment at a time.

I was left disabled, but my life was saved and I am so thankful for that.

When you sponsor me, you’re not just helping with my care - you’re becoming part of my story. Your kindness helps me live my best life, surrounded by love and safety and able to race around the garden in my mobility cart. I’ll always have a place to call home, where I’m protected and cherished.

Your support means the world to me.

I am Phoenix and I would love you to sponsor me
