Meet Seven, A survivor with a will to live 🧡

One day I was just looking for food when everything changed. Hungry and desperate, I ate something I didn’t know was deadly. It was hakkapatas- baited food laced with explosives. It shattered my mouth and lower jaw and changed my life in a moment. I was rushed to a vet, stitched up without sedation and left in unbearable pain. As if that wasn’t enough, I was also battling tick-borne diseases -weak, feverish, and barely holding on to life. I thought it was the end. Then Animal SOS Sri Lanka stepped in. They didn’t give up on me. They gave me the surgery I needed, the pain relief I was desperate for, and a second chance at life.
 

Now, in my sanctuary home, I finally have what I never had on the streets:

• Ongoing specialised medical care

• Safety, stability, and protection from cruelty

• Regular, nutritious meals (I’m hand-fed and I always ask for seconds!)

• Expert support for my unique needs

• Love, patience, and understanding every single day
